Witness to a gloomy vast,
the scepter of mortals in us
must have contemplated manifold!
At the slightest pretext
of a melancholy gloom,
oft an unseen fateful doom!
How an assorted embellishment
of vigor loses its sheen;
of a melancholy gloom so unseen.
